At last! Results from the Rifle Shoot.
So I have finally gotten ahold of a copy of the results from last weekend’s rifle shoot. Click Here to see the results. Keep an eye out because there are going to be several more of these events scheduled soon.
ORGC Rife Shoot Results from 5/12/12
Locking the range gates
Gary Blaschek of Shield Alarm Systems has been contracted to order and set up a new lock system with key-fobs for the gate. This is something that has long been discussed by club members. The decision was put to a vote and it passed. Soon, all club members will be notified that they need to provide a $10 deposit to get a key fob.
This will allow the club to determine when people are allowed on the shooting ranges and to keep track of who is here and when. This will eliminate the need for a sign-in sheet at the shooter pavilion.
This weekend’s trap shoot
Volunteers needed! Bill Palermo is running the event. Please give him a call at 585-458-5398 and let him know if you can help out!
Some Pictures From This Weekend
A Great Time at the raffle!
Today dawned beautifully and stayed beautiful all day. The ORGC rifle shoot and raffle was a great way to spend the day! Thanks to all who participated in the planning, the setup, and the shooting. A whole bunch of shooters participated and several were able to run the course a second time in attempt to better their scores.
A special congratulations to the raffle winners:
3rd place: Greg Cody had ticket #29 and won a 30-06 hunting rifle from Keilon Gunsmiths in Webster.
2nd place: Scott Vandewinckel had ticket #66 and won a 12 gauge shotgun from Beikirch Ammunition in East Rochester.
1st place: David Sliker had ticket #225 and won a custom AR-15 sporting rifle from Allstar Tactical.
OntarioRodAndGun.com was able to take several hours of video footage and will soon be editing that footage into a short video for you to see.
Tomorrow is the big event!
Hello shooters and gun enthusiasts, the Ontario Rod & Gun Club’s raffle, picnic and rifle fun shoot is tomorrow. Anyone interested participating in the rifle shoot should arrive by 8:30am. We will have a limited time to shoot so only the first 30 participants are guaranteed spots.
Next will be the picnic! This will start around 12 noon. Free hot dogs and picnic food for anyone holding a raffle ticket. Then, around 2:30, we’ll pull the winning tickets for the raffle.
So come on out for a fun day of shooting, spectating, eating and winning! It’s going to be a beautiful day!
A Busy Weekend at ORGC
This past Friday 4/27, Allstar Tactical had a group of folks in the new tactical range doing some serious training. Saturday was more training. Today (Sunday) I stopped by to see what was going on. I ran into Mike Centola and his dad on the rifle range, emptying a few magazines from his AR. After visiting with him, I stepped into the clubhouse to see that Firearms Training of Western NY (FTWNY) was holding a concealed carry permit class for non-resident permits for Utah, Florida and Arizona, all in one event.
Below area few pictures I was able to get this morning.
Price increase for trap range
Due to the unfortunate increase in costs for a case of targets, we will be forced to raise the cost of a round of trap slightly. As of June 1st, the member price for a round of trap will increase to $3.50. Non-member price will increase to $4.00. While this is still the best price around, we regret the slight increase.
Ontario Rod & Gun only uses biodegradable targets at our range.
